Artist Statement

For me, art is more than a passion - it is a lifeline. After losing both of my parents, and my husband of 34 years, experiencing the pain of family estrangement, I found myself alone and searching for purpose. In my darkest moments, painting became my refuge. Each brushstroke was a prayer, a step toward healing, and a way to transform pain into beauty.

My work is inspired by the landscapes, gardens, and tranquil waters of the Ozarks, but even more by the hope that art can bring to others. I believe creativity is a gift meant to be shared, and my greatest joy comes from helping others discover their own strength and resilience through painting.

In my Branson West studio and gallery, I teach oil, acrylic, and watercolor classes, and offer Therapy Painting sessions designed to foster hope, healing, and community. Whether you are a seasoned artist or picking up a brush for the first time, my goal is to create a welcoming space where art becomes a source of comfort and connection.

Through my art and teaching, I strive to share the message that even in the midst of loss, beauty and hope can be found. My journey is ongoing, and I invite you to join me - whether as a collector, a student, or a fellow traveler on the path to healing.
