With wings brushed in gold and a crown of blossoms, she gathered those tiny hopes and carried them gently on the evening breeze. Wherever a butterfly landed, courage bloomed, kindness grew, and hearts remembered how to dream again.

I shared my vision of an elegant, traditional Chinese attire of a woman, with her elaborate hairstyle adorned with flowers and ornaments. I enjoyed painting the intricate white floral designs and gold trim on her red kimono set against a colorful checkered background inspired by Chinese Checkers.

You notice a woman's face peeking through what appears to be a hole in an old barn's siding. She sees the most beautiful sight, flowers, butterflies, nature's beauty- she found Nature. The cracked texture gives the feel that nature is breaking through time and wood. Creating this piece was like uncovering a secret garden - sometimes you just have to peek through the cracks to find the wild beauty waiting on the other side. Just like when we have trials in life and think all is lost, just look outside to remind yourself there is always beauty and perfection right around the corner.
